General Rules:
- All students are required to wear the official school uniform, which must be clean, odorless, and neatly ironed.
- Clothing must be free of holes, cuts, tears, and rips. If garments become worn out, a new uniform should be obtained.
- Skintight and close-fitting clothing is not permitted.
- Coats, outdoor jackets, and hoodies are not allowed in the school building.
- Students must carry a raincoat during the rainy season.
- Shoes must be worn at all times; wearing shoes without socks is not allowed unless prior medical permission is granted.
- Hairstyles that draw undue attention and detract from the educational environment (e.g., unusual styles, colors, Mohawks) are not acceptable.
- Hair gel, hair dye, and color streaks are prohibited.
- Students wearing glasses must use simple frames only.
- Only watches with plain white, black, brown, or navy blue straps are permitted.
- Nails should be regularly trimmed; failure to do so may result in trimming on school premises.
- Bracelets, bangles, and anklets are not allowed.
- Strong perfumes or heavily scented products are not permitted.
Rules Specific to Male Students:
- Male students must maintain a proper haircut; hair must be above the ears and not cover the forehead or be long at the back.
- Hair must be combed neatly, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness.
- Shirts must always be tucked in.
- Clothing should not expose underwear or body parts in an indecent or vulgar manner.
Rules Specific to Female Students:
- Girls must tie their hair in braids or ponytails. If hair is short, it must be neatly pinned with black hairpins or clips.
- Girls should wear only plain white hijabs without shimmer or lace.
- Nail polish, lipstick, shimmery lip-gloss, colored chap stick, henna, makeup (including kohl), and other decorative ornaments are prohibited.
- Simple jewelry is allowed, but piercings are only permitted in the ears and nose.
Consequences:
- First Offense: Student receives a warning and a disciplinary slip is issued for parental contact.
- Second Offense: Student must change into appropriate attire and will face detention, with a phone call made to parents.
- Third and Subsequent Offenses: Student must change, face detention or other disciplinary action, and parents will be contacted. Continued violations may result in a parent conference and could lead to removal from classes and/or suspension.
Exceptions:
Exceptions to the dress code will be considered for medical reasons, special events, or to promote school spirit as determined by the Principal or their designee. Requests for special exceptions must be submitted to the school administration prior to the activity.
Students not in compliance with the dress code will be given an opportunity to comply. Any student who refuses to comply or repeatedly requires redirection may face disciplinary action, including expulsion, in accordance with the Board’s policy on student discipline.
