Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud is a respected academic and researcher in the fields of religious studies, interfaith dialogue, and cultural studies. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of World Religions and Culture at the University of Dhaka. He completed his undergraduate studies in Arabic and postgraduate studies in World Religions and Culture from the University of Dhaka before earning his PhD from the International Islamic University Malaysia. His research interests include religious diversity, interfaith harmony, Sufi traditions, peacebuilding, extremism studies, and social cohesion from Islamic perspectives.


Over the years, Dr. Mahmud has contributed to academic scholarship through teaching, research, and publication in national and international journals. His work focuses on promoting peaceful coexistence, cultural understanding, and dialogue among diverse communities. With his expertise in religion, ethics, and social harmony, Dr. Mahmud brings to Ibn Khaldun Academy a vision of education rooted in tolerance, compassion, intellectual curiosity, and global understanding.
