Jahangir Alam is an accomplished academic and administrative professional specializing in Management Information Systems (MIS). He currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of MIS at the University of Dhaka, alongside his responsibilities as Assistant Proctor of the University and Assistant Provost of Osman Hadi Hall. He completed both his BBA and MBA in MIS from the University of Dhaka, securing first position in both programs.
His outstanding academic achievements earned him prestigious recognitions including the President Gold Medal, Dean’s Honor Award, and Dean’s Merit Award. Prior to joining the University of Dhaka, he served as a Lecturer at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) and Senior Lecturer at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), where he also held administrative responsibilities.
His research interests include MIS, artificial intelligence, ICT applications, health informatics, and supply chain information systems. He is currently serving as Assistant provost of Osman Hadi Hall and assistant proctor of University of Dhaka. Through his strong academic background, leadership experience, and commitment to technological innovation, Jahangir Alam contributes to developing a future-oriented and research-driven learning culture at Ibn Khaldun Academy.
