Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad is an accomplished academic, researcher, and institutional leader with more than 18 years of experience in higher education, academic administration, and research. As Director, he plays a vital role in strengthening academic standards, strategic planning, and educational excellence at Ibn Khaldun Academy.

He currently serves as a senior academic and previously held significant leadership positions including Head of the Department of Business Administration and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST). He earned his PhD from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, after completing his MSc from the University of Bedfordshire, UK, and BBA and MBA from International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC).

Before entering academia, Dr. Azad worked at Standard Chartered Bank, gaining practical experience in the financial sector. Over the years, he has contributed extensively to curriculum development, academic policy formulation, institutional governance, and research supervision.

He has published 150 research articles in internationally recognized journals, having citations over 3500 and currently serves as editor of several scholarly journals. With his strong background in academic leadership and research excellence, Dr. Azad contributes to creating a forward-thinking learning environment at Ibn Khaldun Academy that encourages innovation, discipline, and intellectual growth.
